Fibromyalgia: Sensitivity Amplification

Fibromyalgia syndrome can be theorized to be a “sensitivity amplification syndrome”. In fibromyalgia there is an increased sensitivity to pain and in some there may also be an increased sensitivity to other stimuli such as sounds, smells, bright lights and vibrations.
