Fibromyalgia Treatment Options

Fibromyalgia: diagnosis and treatment options.

The symptoms of fibromyalgia can be treated with a combination of drug and non-drug therapies.
For the treatment of fibromyalgia with medication, the strongest evidence for efficacy is with duloxetine (Cymbalta) and milnacipran.
Effective nonpharmacologic treatments that involve physical activity include cardiovascular fitness exercises, strengthening exercises, and warm water therapy.
